Coco Gauff has won the WTA Finals for the first time by rallying to beat Olympic champion Zheng Qinwen 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (2) in the final in Riyadh.

American Coco Gauff defeated world number one Aryna Sabalenka 7-6(4) 6-3 in the semi-finals of the WTA Finals on Friday and will take on China's Zheng Qinwen in the showpiece match.

In her most recent match on September 29, 2024, Gauff took home the win 7-5, 6-2 versus Katie Boulter in the Round of 32 of the China Open. On September 30, 2024, Zheng won her last match, 6-3, 6-2, over Nadia Podoroska in the Round of 32 of the China Open.
