The day before the general election an excitement could be felt in the Blount County election office. As they were preparing polling sites with the necessary equipment, election commission administrator Moe Click said there is a certain adrenaline that is felt this day.

Tuesday marked election day in Blount County for the 2024 General Election. Among the races on the ballot, voters in Alcoa and Maryville chose school board representatives.

Here are the results for the first release of Election Day voting in Taylor County elections on Tuesday. As of 9:25 p.m., 50,566 or 56.08% of Taylor County's 90,174 registered voters participated at the polls or by mail-in ballots.
