Ruben Amorim has said he doesn't feel "the weight" of Manchester United's history as he prepares to start his reign as the club's new head coach. Amorim arrived in Manchester on Monday after being appointed as Erik ten Hag's successor on a two-and-a-half year contract.

Manchester United held talks with a host of managers over the summer – the Red Devils negotiated with Thomas Tuchel as well as Roberto de Zerbi, Thomas Frank, Marco Silva and more – but quickly shifted their focus to Ruben Amorim once Erik ten Hag’s position became untenable.

Ruben Amorim started work as Man Utd head coach this week and has delivered his first interview in the job to the club's in-house TV channel.
